Katherine
HR Administrator, Mother & Rooted Singer
When we first met Katherine, she was working full-time in a demanding job, managing family life, responsibilities, and very little free time. Throughout her life she had tried, again and again, to connect with her voice — in choirs, in lessons, in everyday moments — but never in a way that created a deeper bond. She said something we hear often:
“I love singing, but not in a way that I ever thought I could do more with it — I don’t have a particularly good voice.”
Her intention wasn’t to pursue the stage or change careers. She simply wanted a real connection to her voice: more presence, more courage, more space for herself.
As the training progressed, it became clear that Katherine’s challenge wasn’t talent — it was trust. She didn’t know how her voice worked, how to keep it stable, or how to hold sound without pressure or insecurity. Her voice was shaped by destructive beliefs, and she lacked the inner permission to truly enjoy her own sound.
With the Rooted Singing® method, she learned to understand her voice, feel it intuitively, and anchor it in her body. She began to see her voice with new eyes and developed a deeper sense of inner alignment, agency, and clarity in her expression.
Step by step, her voice became freer and more soothing — but the real transformation was in herself-perception. Katherine began to feel more confident in everyday situations and used her new sense of self, for example in difficult conversations. She sang for joy, for grounding, and realized that her voice wasn’t just sound — it was a mirror of her identity.
Today, she describes her voice as “a resource I can take with me anywhere.” She uses singing and vocal work intentionally — for energy, for calm, and for presence in her daily life. Looking back, she says:
“I’m so glad I finally said a full, wholehearted ‘yes’ to my voice.”
Katherine’s journey reflects what Rooted Singing® stands for: a training that helps people find their voice not only technically, but internally — as a resource for presence, expression, and personal growth.
